Caravan Holidays in South Wales are typically filled with beautiful walks through the famous Welsh Valleys or exciting trips to the thriving cultural city of Cardiff.

If you’re looking for something slightly different this October half term, why not not take the whole family down for the Brecon Art Week. Following the great success of the inaugural festival last year, Artbeat Brecon are once again hosting the event between Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th October.

It’s a fantastic place to bring the kids, as they can get involved in workshops offering the chance to build a wide array of arts and crafts. Girls will be enthralled by the opportunity to make their own jewellery, while boys may prefer being able to make scary masks to take back to their school friends.

There’ll be plenty of demonstrations, from how stained glass windows are made to how to take the perfect photograph. And with drumming performances, singing recitals and baroque renditions amongst many other musical highlights, there’s sure to be something for all the family to enjoy throughout the week.

Caravan Holidays in South Wales are always fun, but for something different this October, take all the family down to the Brecon Art Week for a fun-filled, artistic half term.

Summer hasn’t ended yet in Swansea! If you are planning a caravan holiday in South Wales, watch Swansea come alive with hundreds of events at the Swansea Bay Summer Festival. Whether it’s an intense bicycle race across the Bay or an enjoyable performance of outdoor theatre, as we move into the final month of the festival, there are plenty of interesting and exciting events to see.

September highlights include the popular Gower Bluegrass festival taking place at the Gower heritage Centre. The Festival is now in its seventh year and attracting more and more bluegrass musicians from the South Wales area. Explore a different genre of music and attend the performances, featuring bands from the Welsh and British bluegrass scene. Bluegrass is great, foot-stomping music to listen to for all ages!

Check out the Open House events taking place around the city, and explore historic and great architectural buildings that aren’t usually open to the public. This September, Swansea Open House is a free event that provides a range of guided tours and exhibits for you to enjoy.

You will find something for everyone at the festival. Are you a keen cyclist? Then don’t miss the Gower Cycling Festival, which boasts 18 guided rides ranging in difficulty from gentle family cycle paths to more challenging off-road mountain biking. For all you eco-activists out there, make a difference and help in Swansea’s mission to clean up Three Cliffs Bay. There will even be prizes available for the most unique pieces of rubbish recovered. Or if you are looking to catch a bit of culture, check out the annual Patron’s Concert from the Dunvant Male Choir.
